OFFICE BRIEF

Architects 49 was established in 1983 by Nithi Sthapitanonda, whose vison to create timeless architecture with clean, simple, elegant lines inspires our designs. Based in Bangkok, Thailand, we currently have over 200 staff. In 2004, A49 established studios in Phuket and Chiang Mai, followed by a studio in Khon Kaen in 2015.   

Our diverse team enables us to take on a variety of projects ranging from residential, commercial, retail, educational, hospitality, health, as well as several large-scale mixed-use projects, both in Asia and the Middle East. To keep abreast of the times and maintain our position as a leading architectural firm, we are focused on sustainable, human-centric designs, each with its own distinctive character, using the latest architectural and technical advances. 

With Architects 49’s vision and approach to produce designs that enhance the quality of life of our clients and staff, we look to embark on a journey of data driven design by utilizing technologies and past experiences that we have garnered from the past 40 years in the design industry and, in 2021, established a dedicated technological research and data department to support our design studios.  In moving towards our goal of digital transformation, one of the schemes that we have implemented is the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning in our workflow, while empowering our employees with the required knowledge and motivation to achieve our goal
