The ARCASIA Awards for Architecture (AAA) was established by ARCASIA to encourage and recognize exemplary work by architects practising in Asia, and to raise the standard of the built environment across the continent. At its core lies a simple conviction: that good architecture is a key positive influence on the human environment, and that its impact extends far beyond individual buildings into the socio-economic and cultural life of Asian countries.
Asia today is building at a pace and scale unmatched anywhere in the world. With that momentum comes responsibility. The AAA exists to hold this moment to a higher standard, honouring architecture that responds to climate, context, community, and culture rather than merely to ambition. The awards celebrate the role of the architect in the sustainable development of the region, recognizing projects that prove environmental responsibility and design excellence are not competing goals but inseparable ones.
Entries are judged by an independent panel appointed by the ARCASIA Council, consisting of eminent architects from Asia, an architect from outside the region, and a non-architect, ensuring that winning work withstands scrutiny from within the profession and beyond it.
This year, the jury conferred awards across eleven categories spanning residential, public amenity, industrial, conservation, and integrated development projects, selecting eleven Gold winners and sixteen Honorary Mentions from eight countries and regions. Special Awards for Socially Responsible Architecture and Sustainability recognized projects whose contribution reaches past their boundary walls.
Together, this year's winners form a portrait of Asian architecture at its most thoughtful: rooted in place, generous in spirit, and conscious of its consequences. They remind us what the AAA has always championed, that architecture, at its best, serves people first.
